Mrs. Venus Howard

I get to serve as the monolingual teacher for students accessing Special Education services in Kinder - Second grades. I attended Prairie View A & M University (Who Ya’ Rootin’ For?!) where I received a Bachelor's degree in Architecture with an emphasis in Project Management. I joined the school district as a special education paraprofessional, participated in an alternative certification program, interviewed, and was then selected to serve as a special education teacher.  I have served as an educator in Plano ISD, since 2013 and I STILL enjoy each minute that I get to collaborate with my colleagues and create a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children. My husband and I have a son in high school and a daughter in elementary school. In my spare time, I love to encourage others, paint and hand letter, serve at my church, and take my kids to their numerous extracurricular activities. I am eager to partner with you and ensure that this is a year full of growth for our Thomas Texans!
