1st  Grade Teacher

Hello, My name is Christine Leftwich. I started teaching at Thomas Elementary in 2003 after graduating from Texas Woman's University. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, but 1st grade is my favorite! I am the sponsor for the Thomas Elementary board game club as well as the secretary for Thomas PTA. 

I grew up in the Kansas City, Missouri area as well as the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I live in Plano with my two children. They are 18 and 8 years old. My oldest went to school in Plano (Pearson, Thomas, Carpenter, Clark and Plano Senior), and my youngest currently attends Thomas. We have several pets at home. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, swimming, genealogy, and volunteering. 

I'm looking forward to a wonderful year with my students!
