Maurice Bynum

My name is Mr. Bynum, and I’m proud to be part of this incredible school family. The best parts of my life are being married to my beautiful wife, Sue Bynum, since August 1, 2014, and being a father to our two amazing children.

I’ve been teaching in Plano ISD since 2004 and am truly passionate about the daily opportunity to educate and support students. Throughout my career, I’ve taught all grade levels and subjects in special education, and I’ve also enjoyed teaching elementary physical education and coaching high school sports.

Here at Thomas Elementary, I serve as a Special Education Focus/Resource Teacher. I’m excited to work alongside such a dedicated team and to make a positive impact in the lives of our students every day.
