Mrs. Nikki Mitchell Harvey

5th Grade Teacher

My name is Nikki Mitchell Harvey, and I was born in Dallas, Texas. I am married to Steven Harvey, and we have a beautiful and bright daughter named Alessandra. I love animals, including eight-legged ones. I grew up with both of my parents being educators for over 30 years in Dallas I.S.D. With several years of teaching experience, I believe unknowingly that my parents prepared me for teaching. I've had the pleasure of traveling to Peru twice to visit the Amazon Rainforest. While there, I learned and collaborated with other educators from across the U.S., as well as with the indigenous people within the Amazon communities. I am thrilled to be at Thomas teaching science and social studies, and I am ready to share this knowledge and experience with your precious students. Thomas Elementary is like family to me, so I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your student's learning adventure!!!
